Welcome from Principal
Dear parent / Guardian / visitor,
Fáilte romhat go léír . Welcome to a snapshot of our wonderful school which I hope reflects the warm learning environment which exists in Blennerville NS . On behalf of the Blennerville NS learning community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. We are a mixed catholic school situated in the picturesque village of Blennerville on the outskirts of Tralee, Co Kerry.
We are a vibrant school community, which fosters inclusiveness, spirituality, individuality, difference and the development of all our talents. We pride ourselves on the atmosphere of mutual respect and an expectation of the highest standards of behaviour, of work ethic and of personal achievement. We strive to allow each student become the very best that they wish to be, while empowering them to meet the challenges of education and of life.
All at Blennerville NS strive to provide a very high standard of education within a happy caring environment. We believe that a broad, balanced, educational experience will allow our pupils to reach their full potential. Our other school partners – an active Parents’ Association, a dedicated Board of Management and supportive Patron – all strive to provide the very best educational experience for our pupils.
At the centre of every great school is its outstanding staff and Blennerville NS is no exception. Our faculty are trained in instructional best practices and demonstrate a huge commitment to the education and well being of all our students.
We are fortunate enough to have a state of the art building which opened in January 2016 and we are very proud of this. We have 8 spacious and fully equipped mainstream classrooms, 4 rooms dedicated to resource teaching, a library , an outdoor basketball court and a fantastic indoor sports hall.
We greatly appreciate that parents have and continue to entrust their children to our care here in Blennerville NS, it is the greatest privilege that they could ever afford us. We appreciate your interest in our school, and invite you to contact us if you would like to learn more about our wonderful school.
Is mise,
Le fíor-mheas,
Robbie O’Connell.

St.Brendan's Primary School is a school which strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure learning environment, where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of our pupils are identified and addressed.
While St.Brendan's Primary School is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also gives due recognition to children of all other religious beliefs and none.
We aim to provide an appropriate, stimulating and broadly challenging education for all of our pupils. We aim to encourage language learning and the appreciation of languages and their place in our culture and heritage.
St.Brendan's Primary School encourages the involvement of parents through home-school contacts and through their involvement in the development and growth of the Parents’ Association.
At St.Brendan's Primary School we endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, to imbue in the pupils respect for themselves, for other people and for property and to encourage the development of personal responsibility. We aim to prepare our pupils for their place in a modern multicultural society by actively promoting equality and by celebrating the diversity we have within our school community.
We strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teachers through staff development programmes.
St.Brendan’s Primary School encourages our pupils to have respect for diversity, environmentally awareness and appreciation of our community.
