Our Spring clean began in earnest and we hope to have much rubbish collected by Friday 30th April, when Higgin's Waste has offered to take this rubbish from us free of charge. Thanks to John Higgins for this! Well done to all the children for wearing their High Viz and for collecting the rubbish and cleaning up Blennerville.

This April Senior Infants explored the Space theme in Ms Dinan’s infant classroom. There was plenty to discover, with lots of fun and learning at every station. Children acted out a rocket launch at the home corner, with a spaceship they painted themselves and a backdrop they took lots of research and planning to paint also. They made jig-saws of planets, used an ipad to explore a 3D sun and planets, created a window picture and wrote sentences about what they saw. They also built rockets using magnetic shapes. A final station explored a planet surface with various rocks, stars and aliens. They used special sand for this that the class made in a science lesson the previous week to make a type of sand.

Join our school in supporting Kerry Mental Health this Friday 23rd by wearing your own choice of tie to school. We will take plenty of group photos. If you feel like donating, please do!

There is a magnificent art display outside 4th class on 16th April 2021 of bicycles. Cycling numbers in our school have hugely increased during the past month, with the bike racks full to capacity, which we are thrilled to see! These paintings are just stunning and really brighten up the corridor. Well done Ms Olivia O'Shea's class. This ties in rightly with our Travel Greenschools theme!
