Down Syndrome Jumper Day

On December 18th  2020, children & staff wore Christmas jumpers and donated to Down Syndrome Ireland . Each class read a special book about being different, which we are all proud to be. We are thrilled to announce that the school raised €880 (updated 21/12/2020) for this great cause. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone for contributing. 🥰

Paudie the Elf Catcher Video

Children were so excited all week about elves being stolen by our caretaker Paudie. If you didn't get the full story, click HERE to fill in the gaps! Thanks so much to Mary Gardiner and to Paudie our mischief maker who brought some well needed comedy to our school this Christmas.

STEM Recognition

We are delighted to once again be recognised for our STEM work. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Thanks to Ms Olivia O’ Shea for all her hard work in coordinating our STEM projects and for ensuring we received this award 🥇👏😀

Christmas Jumper Day

We are holding a Christmas Jumper Day on 18th December in honour of Down Syndrome Ireland. It is a national event. Any funds raised, we will give directly to them on the day. Please donate a euro or two if you can to support this worthy cause. Thank you everyone. Children may also wear their Christmas jumpers on 21st and 22nd December too.

Travel Motto Winners

Thanks so much to 1st class for entering so many ideas for the Travel Flag motto competition which ran this month. It was limited to 1st class, who are the committee. I am delighted to announce the winner is Darragh Sheehan with his motto:

Park the car and walk the rest

It's not that far and would be best.

Congratulations too to the runner ups: Rachel Colivet, Mary Kate O'Shea, Alex O'Sullivan and Sadhbh O'Brien who all got little prizes on Friday 4th December from Ms Brassil.
