Halloween Dress Up Day

It is Halloween Dress Up Day at school on Friday 23rd October 2020. Dress up as something scary if you dare! If you have to hold part of your costume, then we are sorry, but that part cannot come to school (such as scary weapons or brooms) but if you can wear it, it is welcome! See you on Friday, but don't be afraid. Thanks to the Parent's Association for providing pop-corn for the special day.

Lámh Day

October 21st 2020 is Ireland’s first National Lámh Day. Lámh supports communication between parents and child, between siblings, between friends. It can be a stepping stone to communicating with the world. Our school promotes the use of Lámh. Here are links to 3 videos our school made on Lámh Day. Thanks to Ms Rose O'Connor for coordinating Lámh in our school.

Halloween Slime

Mrs Gillian Lawlor’s 2nd class created some Halloween slime in a science lesson n 20th October 2020. It was a hands on experience, not for the faint hearted!

Maths Week 2020

Our school made a huge effort during Maths Week 2020 from October 12th-16th. Classes went outside with Maths Eyes searching for maths in the environment. They used number fans to show numbers from stories. They combined maths with art and with PE and English.
