Virtual HW Pass Winners

Please look at Mr O'Connell announcing the winner of the first homework pass for next Friday 22nd May by clicking HOMEWORK PASS NO.1

This is being awarded to the class with the most feedback sent to their teacher on an assigned task this week past.

Well done to all classes who made a greater effort this week than in weeks past. Keep up the good work and maybe your class will win next week!

Task 4

So Mr O'Connell is still the toilet roll keepy-up champion- can ANYONE PLEASE try to beat him?!

Click TASK 4 to hear and see Mr O'Connell's newest challenge for all students. Here is the latest note from MrO'Connell:

Hi all,

I hope you are all keeping well ? Thank you all for your engagement with last weeks  'be active at home challenge' . Receiving the fun videos of your children last week certainly gave me a much needed boost, it reminded me of what wonderful pupils we have in our school, you should be proud of them all, they certainly are a credit to you their parents & guardians.

All of you, our parents & guardians also deserve huge credit for all you do on a daily basis, I acknowledge that this current situation is far from ideal. I would urge you all to engage and communicate with all the staff should you so wish, we are here to help and will do whatever we can to guide you through the next few months.

This weeks task is for our pupils to show their creativity . I would kindly ask that one photograph be submitted to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. This can be your child / children baking, cooking, showing their creations such as lego , jigsaws, drawings, stories, songs, poems etc. I look forward to seeing these creations and sharing them with our school community.

We are also introducing a 'Homeschool Pass' this week where the class which has the most engagement with whatever task individual teachers have assigned will receive a homeschool pass. A homeschool pass works the same way as a homework pass and this will be valid for the Friday of the following week where the whole class will get that Friday off doing their assigned work.  Every class will get this homeschool pass in turn.

Take care and have a good week.

Let's Keep Fit!

Here is Task 3 from Mr O'Connoll on 03/05/2020 and a message from him to you all: Click TASK 3 to see this.

Hi all, I hope you are all keeping well? Please see attached link's with my weekly message and task along with examples. This weeks task is to send in a short video or pictures of your child / children engaging in physical activity and challenging themselves at home. 60 minutes of physical activity per day is what is recommended for primary school children and we are all aware of its enormous benefits to our physical and mental health.

I know you all have many questions with regard to the intended return to school in September, we too as a staff also have questions and I am awaiting direction and communication from the Department of Education . I will communicate same with you all as soon as I receive this and provide you all with the clarity you deserve.

Things we Look Forward to

Message from Mr O'Connell 02/05/2020

Hi all, thanks for your engagement with our most recent task. I asked children to share with us all what are the 5 things they are most looking forward to when current restrictions are eased. I enjoyed reading all of the responses. I broke up the responses into two separate videos and they can be viewed below.

I will be in touch again tomorrow with a new task as we approach a new week. If you have any ideas that would be a nice task for our pupils to engage with then please let me know.

Take care

Mr O Connell
