Grandparent's Day

Thanks to our wonderful grandparents and grandchildren for making randparent's Day so special in Blennerville on 31st January 2020. Fr Francis and Fr Vitalis led us in a fabulous service that saw children reading poems and prayers, and singing. Thank you Fr Francis and Fr Vitalis. Thanks to Dan’s baking for the lovely treats and to our wonderful Parents Association. Grandparents are so special and it was lovely to show appreciation for them today. Click GRANDPARENTS to see some photos. Thanks to Ann Marie O'Connor also for the lovely altar floral display.

Cycle Right Begins

Thanks so much to Leif and Jay today who took our 5th and 6th classes outside for the first of 4 sessions of Cycle Right. The instructors are from Trailflow, and they bring bikes, helmets , high visibility gear and promote correct and safe cycling during their sessions. They were so accommodating and took those who needed it for individual time. Leif told children that if they listened well at Cycle Right, that they would have a head start on rules of the road for their driving tests in the future which may not be all that far away! He stressed the importance of protecting our brains, hence the strict rules on helmets. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and we thank Leif, Jay, Ms Moriarty and Anne-Marie Scott. Cake Sale

We have to thank the children from 3rd and 4th classes who did such fantastic baking for us for our Bake Sale today. The goodies were just delicious! The money raised will go towards the First Communion, flowers, photos and buses. Thanks so much to the parents Association members who manned the stall, to the bakers and buyers. Over €400 was raised. Thank you everyone. Click CAKE SALE to see all the photos.

Drum Dance Ireland

We have a date for Drum Dance Ireland! A few months ago, parent Rebecca Roche entered a competition on the school's behalf on Facebook and she won a half day free drumming with Urs Wenk and Drum Dance Ireland. We are thrilled that this will take place on 4th March 2020 and the lucky classes taking part will be: 9am-9:45am Ms Dinan's Senior Infants, 9:45-10:30am Mrs O'Sullivan's Junior Infants, and 10:45-11:30am Ms Doyle's 1st Class. The junior infants have not had drumming before and it's only fair that 1st class who won it, get to take part too. We really look forward to the day. Thank you Drum Dance Ireland.
