Debating Try-Outs

It was a pleasure n 4th October 2019 to watch and hear 10 of our 5th and 6th class students stand up in front of their class and teachers to try out for our school debating team. They all spoke with such confidence and use of the English language that it was very difficult to select the team. The result will be announced on Monday 7th October as it took Ms Moriarty, Ms O’Connor and Ms Brassil some time after school to debate the decision! Well done to all of you who took part. After listening to you all, I think you are all right and that homework actually is not good for us! Click debating to see all the students who spoke.

Cookies in 4th

Ms Olivia O’Shea’s 4th class made cookies as part of their mystery motivator for good behaviour over the month of September. They really enjoyed decorating the cookies and enjoyed eating them even more.

Rugby

Thanks to Brian O’Dowd aka Tigger and Ray for taking 4th class for rugby yesterday. The children really enjoyed it. They practiced rugby drills and learned how to pass the ball properly. They practiced all the new skills they had learned by playing each other in a rugby match.

Football Challenge

On 25th September our senior boys went to play Arfert in a friendly challenge. Well done to all the boys.

Aviva Rugby Nations

Well done to 6 of our Blennerville students who took part in the under 10s Aviva mini rugby nations blitz in the stadium in Dublin on Sunday 22nd September 2019. What a day to remember! I hope the boys will get to play there again some day. You'd never know!
