Thanks to Brian O’Dowd aka Tigger and Ray for taking 4th class for rugby yesterday. The children really enjoyed it. They practiced rugby drills and learned how to pass the ball properly. They practiced all the new skills they had learned by playing each other in a rugby match.
On 25th September our senior boys went to play Arfert in a friendly challenge. Well done to all the boys.
Well done to 6 of our Blennerville students who took part in the under 10s Aviva mini rugby nations blitz in the stadium in Dublin on Sunday 22nd September 2019. What a day to remember! I hope the boys will get to play there again some day. You'd never know!
Fair play to the Costello family who decided to get mobile during European Mobility Week and walk to school. They even brought their dog! I hope they inspire many more to do the same, especially as Travel is our new Greenschool theme for the next two years.
A massive thanks to The Arena gym who took our 5th and 6th class children for a fitness session today as part of European mobility week. David and John really put the children through their paces with cooperation and team building games, balance, co-ordination, and fundamental movement skills. We walked in to Tralee by the canal and got the bus home again. A fabulous day, one to remember. Thanks David and John!
