PA Hike BBQ

We are extremely grateful to Reidy butchers, O’Sullivans delicatessen, Turners, and we couldn’t have done our Parent Association Hike and BBQ without your generosity. Thanks to our PA for organising this day, to the BBQ cooks, everyone who baked, our face painters, Kenny the magician, and everyone from children to parents and staff and relations that came to support the day. Thanks to Mr O’Connell & Paudie for helping with everything also. Thanks also to Tralee Equestrian Centre, the Hayes have always been very kind to allow us park at their riding centre and Nicola even directed traffic. Finally massive thanks to St John’s parish centre and Joan Trant and Fr Vitalis for the use of Curraheen church, room and garden for the day. Joan is always so welcoming and helpful whenever we need the centre. Thanks Joan. Thanks to Joanna, Sean and Roger for the photos.

Ballybunion 1st and 2nd

1st and 2nd classes played crazy golf, made, baked and designed cupcakes and had a choice of a tub of ice-cream or a Slush Puppie!! The weather certainly didn’t dampen any spirits on 17th June at Ballybunion's We Can Cook!

Teddy Bears Picnic

“Today’s the day the teddy bears had their pic-nic!” Thanks to Ms Dinan for organising the most fun Teddy Bear’s Picnic today for Senior Infants on 16th June.

Ballyseedy Woods

On 15th June 3rd class went to Ballyseedy wood with guide Niamh Ní Dhúill. It was just fantastic and the Greenschool committee learned so much. Niamh told us about trees, plants, insects, animals and their habitats, we made some shelters for insects and hedgehogs, measured the age of trees working together as a team. Thanks to Niamh and to Rachel Geary for organising this for us, to Ms Ryan and Marina and Dónal the bus driver! Most importantly we only left our footprints behind and took nothing home with us apart from good memories and things we learned.

Brackloon 4th and 5th

4th and 5th classes did hikes during June. Here are the photos. Thanks to Daithí O Conaill and the volunteers at Kerry Mountaineering for being our guides.
